4 Quick Tips to Boost Your SEO

4 Quick Tips to Boost Your SEO

After creating your website, what is the next step you can take to ensure successful traffic? Optimize your search engine strategy.

Search engine optimization (SEO) provides your website with more user traffic and high visibility on results pages. In a time where attention spans are decreasing, SEO is crucial. Connor Lahey of Semrush Blog notes that “many internet users — a whopping 75% — tend not to look past the first page of search results.”

So, what can you do to help your site reach that first page? Here are four tips to help you get started:

1. Create content with search intent.

Target your audience with specific phrases or terms that are relevant to their search. Repeating keywords several times throughout your page will increase the likelihood of appearing in a search result. Updating this content regularly helps maintain your website’s relevance and can support your search engine strategy.

2. Add relevant keywords to your URL.

Your page title and headline title tag will appear directly in search results and can help extend reach to relevant potential visitors. The page title should align with search intent, be concise, and not be overpowered by too many keywords. Check out some more keyword advice here.

3. Create authentic content.

Your page should answer the question: what makes this business different from the other search results listed? Most search engines will flag similar postings as plagiarized content, making it almost impossible for your site to be found if deemed unoriginal. Also, you want to keep your visitors’ experience in mind in addition to the search engine. People want to know what makes you special and sets you apart from competitors.

4. Audit your website frequently.

Conducting an audit of your website can identify areas of opportunity to make your search engine optimization strategy airtight. An effective audit can show useful information such as pinpointing successful or unsuccessful pages, any broken links that can hinder site traffic, and how well your site is indexing. Evaluating and editing your page is one of the most effective methods to improve your traffic. Tools like Google Analytics can help you get a better picture of your site’s performance.
